I'm an organic garlic farmer and I grow buckwheat for green manure.  I had no inkling these hulls were used for pillows, so out of curiosity I ordered a buckwheat hull pillow.  I have to tell you, it's GREAT!

After 25 years and three futons, it was past time for a new (fourth futon). We simply prefer futons. There are very few futon stores anymore.

So I searched the internet and found two positive prospects (1) a very good but very expensive organic futon and (2) a very good, with carefully sourced, high quality, and affordable futon at Northern Naturals.

While the NN was not organic, I was impressed with the effort to make the futon as green as possible while maintaining its affordability.

The fire retardant is non-toxic boric acid and the futon itself does not out gas and is made with a fabric- foam and layers of cotton batting, and they are made in the USA.  My experience with Northern Naturals was a refreshing and memorable buying experience.

The wool mattress cover is so comforting! Airy and light, like sleeping on a cloud. I love that I feel comfortable even when the weather is humid, as it can be here in Hawaii.

What can I say that will truly describe the beauty of this gorgeous 100%  Cotton blanket?  It is a treasure! Absolutely luxurious but at the same time so easy to care for!
