These are the World’s Finest Handmade 100% Cotton area Rag Rugs. They are made exclusively for us in India. The best materials are used to make these rugs including 100% cotton (chindi) Expensive European dyes; high-grade cotton warp thread. The rags are triple washed after dyeing to prevent color transfer. These wonderful rugs are cold water washable.

Hand-Woven in India by village artisans. The hand loom process means each rug will have slight variation; this is the charm of these high quality rugs, all finished products are subject to total quality control to insure integrity and longevity of our rugs, these are heavy weight rugs that lay flat and wont bunch up like other rugs. Our rugs are completely reversible they have the same high quality and color on both sides.

• We use dyes of European origin to get the rich colors. The dyes are more expensive then the local market dyes that the typically used.
• We use a high-grade 100% cotton warp thread. The warp thread binds the rug together. The quality warp thread insures the longevity of the rugs.
• Our Cotton Rugs use 30% more warp thread than typical rugs. This gives our rugs their tight weave and strong heavy weight quality.

Fair Wages & Child labor is never used to make our rugs.
The village workers in India consists of men and women, most of whom have worked for the manufacturer for over 10 years. These workers are paid more than the prevailing wage, with benefits such as health care provided for their entire family, disability coverage and a month’s bonus pay in October, during Diwali the Festival of Lights.
