What’s the buzz about Buckwheat Hull Pillows?

I like things that last so I shop carefully. This is one good reason why I personally LOVE buckwheat hull pillows. This gemstone of a pillow will last upwards to 20 years if you don’t use it for a pillow fight. So when I had the opportunity to offer a new line of buckwheat hull pillows for Northern Natural’s customers, I was thrilled.

This pillow is my personal preference. I love how it contours to my head and neck. As one customer said, it stays where it is put. I can adjust the shape of the buckwheat hulls to perfectly fit my body. My old whiplash injury is so happy sleeping on a buckwheat hull pillow.

Because the buckwheat is adjustable many people report that is helps reduce pain and headaches because the muscles can unwind and relax. It is a favorite among health care professionals and many chiropractors recommend these to their patients.

The other really great thing about sleeping on a buckwheat hull pillow is that your head and neck does not get clammy and sweaty because of the hulls allow air to flow. Now that’s cool (no pun intended.)

Besides being a fantastic sleeping pillow, buckwheat hulls are used to make fabulous meditation cushions. Northern Naturals of course offers the traditional zafu cushion, and then I came across this line of crescent shaped cushions. What a wonderful idea to have a cushion that supports your thighs as well while taking the pressure off your spine. The buckwheat hull is a perfect fill for these cushions.

Philosophically I also aligned with the concept of selling something that is all natural, and I love our supplying company. She once said to me, “We make happy pillows”. Everyone comes to work with a positive attitude and the pillows are infused with good energy from the inside out. It just doesn’t get much better than this: a well-made, durable, functional pillow from sustainable resources that is made with love.
