My Grandma used to make rag rugs. Her old stockings were even woven into the design. She made me a very special rug. Unfortunately I took that rag rug to the dry cleaners and they destroyed it beyond repair. I was devastated, a precious heirloom gone in a snap of a finger. No amount of money could have replaced it.

Like you, I was curious, what really makes these a sturdy product? You have to start with the basic construction. First of all, they use 30% more warp thread giving them a tighter weave than your typical rugs you find out there. The warp thread itself is a high quality 100% cotton thread. This builds in strength from the beginning.

Secondly, they use high-grade cotton for the weave and low impact dyes insuring bold, vibrant and solid colors unique to this rag rug. By the time they are ready for market they have been washed three times to prevent any dye transfer, and can be washed in cold water in your machine or an industrial machine for the larger rugs.

These rugs have some real weight to them and are about ½” thick. Their weight insures that they lie flat and don’t bunch up. The really neat thing is they are reversible so it is like you are getting two rugs in one. Plus on top of all of this, they are beautiful. The colors are divine and lust and rich with 10 colors to match every décor.
